Credits
Zedoc uses a credit-based pricing model. Each task has a defined credit cost that is deducted when the task executes successfully.
How Credits Work
- Each task defines a base credit cost. For some tasks, this is zero, for others it is a fixed amount.
- Some tasks have variable costs based on configuration options (e.g., enabling PDF support for the Extract Contents task costs 2 credits).
- Credits are spent every time a task executes successfully.
- Free tasks (0 credits) exist for utility operations like file upload and format conversion
Pricing
The credit cost of a task is based on the amount of processing time and resources it requires. Tasks that need very little processing — such as file uploads, format conversions, and simple data transformations — are free. Tasks that involve heavier processing, such as AI-powered analysis, cost more credits to reflect the underlying compute costs.
Some tasks also have variable costs based on configuration options. For example, enabling optional features on a task may add additional credits to the base cost. This lets you control costs by selecting only the features you need. The credit cost for each option is shown in the task’s documentation.
Pricing is adjusted over time based on the cost of using the underlying services.
